Dear SH Son Fii Action item • FXN should be submit 8D report => Waiting vender confirms this issue and give report. • For short term solution + Hold shipping 13440 units. + Hold 3550 PCBAs at PTH to sorting (Due date: Jul-22) + Request vender sorting raw material at warehouse 15k (Due date: Jul-24) + Update NG picture in SOP at VI station to inspect 100%. Dear SH Son Due to detecting DC connector discoloration * 12pcs, that no effect on the product functions, but QA Rachel was holded 31K shipment in July, I am scared that we cannot catch up with vessel schedule on 3rd Aug. Please kindly help us give an action: can we use waive for these 13440pcs and then we will provide sorting result of 3550pcs PCBAs and 15K raw materials at warehouse according to Rachel's above feedback. Hi Rachel Thank you for the update. What is Foxconn's decide to solve this issue (Long term solution)? - to change the shrapnel nickel silver to nickel plating or tin plating specification; or - Increase the thickness of the coating, which is currently about 30U "and increased to 60U" Thanks SON |

Hi SH Son BFX-AT100 DC connector discoloration issue: 1. Fii had feedback vendor ask what D/C apply improved thickness of the coating, from 30U " to 60U". And waiting vendor provide new D/C. 2. All products used same Flux at PTH station , but no detect DC connector discoloration issue. Fii visual inspection 100% after PTH station but no detect this issue. So Flux can`t make discolor Power connector. Fii keep monitoring the DC connector discoloration issue online production. Many Thanks Rachel Ruan |

Hi Rachel and Sean I think coating thickness is not solution about this issue. Refer from vendor report, "Increase the thickness of the coating, which is currently about 30U "and increased to 60U", but this program is not complete Elimination of vulcanization reaction". Hi SH & Lonnie, After discussing with supplier, we recommended to change the shrapnel nickel silver to nickel plating specification for completely solve elimination of vulcanization reaction. The supplier reply that it is currently doing high temperature testing now, and will provide reliability test report on 9/18, If there are no problems with report, the supplier will provide new datasheet, and also provide new DC jack parts to our MFG for sample run use.
